BRIEF INTRO:

The three daughters of Late Shri Darshan Singh Gill, a noted Music Composer at All India Radio, New Delhi, formed KAUR SISTERS GROUP in 1970. All the three sisters have obtained their initial training in music under the able guidance of their reputed father and participated in various stage shows since their early childhood. Kaur Sisters obtained their Masters Degree in Vocal Music from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad.

All the three sisters namely Mrs. Pushpa Rani (Eldest), Mrs. Ravinder Kaur (Younger) and Mrs. Vani Sharma (Youngest) are registered "A" Grade Casual Artist with A.I.R. and Doordarshan. They have performed in various musical Concerts/ Stage Shows across the country and abroad as well.

Kaur Sisters group is registered with I.C.C.R., New Delhi and they participated in the "Festival of India" held in Egypt and Israel during March-April 1994 for three weeks and performed various shows depicting Traditional Punjabi culture in various cities of both the countries.

Various relegious organisations of Singapore, Malaysia, Bangkok and Hong Kong have organised their shows on various occasions. They have also participated in the Baisakhi Melas organised by film stars in 1983 at Mumbai and Hyderabad.

They have the distinction of singing certain compositions of Shri Ravinder Jain, a renowned Music Director of the Film Industry. Apart from above, Mrs. Ravinder Kaur has sung a number of compostions of the noted Music Director of SHANKAR (of Shankar-Jaikishan fame) of the Film Industry. They all are perfection seekers in solo performances as well.

Kaur Sisters have specialised in Punjabi folk besides geet, gazals, bhajans, Hindi, Marwari, Haryani, and Sindhi (Filmi and Non-filmi) songs. Owing to their specialisation in Punjabi folk, the Kaur sisters group is registered with Punjabi academy.

Kaur sisters is perhaps the only group with a new trend of three sisters performing together. Yet another highlight of the group is the unity among the group members and their coordination while performing on stage, which leaves the audience spellbound. Their graces and embellishments are really mind blowing for the audience.

The group of Kaur sisters has been nominated by the I.C.C.R., New Delhi to perform in Pakistan in 2007. Recently the Kaur Sisters got associated with Wizcraft which has provided them a lot of promotion and arranged to organise various shows.
